I have been asked to donate a pair of hand-painted shoes to a charity auction at this year's Hal-Con Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Gaming Convention in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The convention's guest list this year features authors such as Brandon Sanderson and RA Salvatore, comic artists such as Steve McNiven and Nick Bradshaw, and some other geeky folks. For 3 days in October sci-fi lovers can come together and geek out, and the weekend is topped off by a charity auction on the last day. My shoes will be on display throughout the weekend until they are auctioned off.
